The Still Point
Your first visit
Everything you need to know before you walk in: when to arrive, what to bring, what to wear and what happens in the room.
Three steps
Every class caps at fourteen, so booking holds your spot. First in-studio class is half price; Sunday’s community class is donation-based.
Mats, props and tea are all here. Tell the teacher about anything that aches. That’s what the ten minutes are for.
Every pose comes with an easier and a harder door. Nobody adjusts you without asking first.
Before you come
Mats and props live here, so you can walk in with nothing but yourself.
8 Willow Lane, ten minutes’ walk from West End’s shops and cafes. Bikes lean on the railing. Come ten minutes early.
Mats, blocks, straps and bolsters are provided. A blanket never hurts.
Anything you can move in. No special gear, and nothing that needs to look good.
Stay for tea. The tea corner is where classes end slowly.
The props wall. Blocks, straps, bolsters.
The tea corner. Where classes end slowly.
The Garden Room. Softer light, slower classes.

Before you book
Yes. Book a Foundations class, tell the teacher it’s your first time, and take the easier door on every pose.
That’s the point. Flexibility is a result of practice, not an entry requirement.
Sunday’s 9am community class is drop-in and donation-based. Every other class caps at fourteen mats, so book to hold your spot.
Always. Tell the teacher in the ten minutes before class and they will plan around it.
Come to Sunday’s donation class and meet the place before you commit to anything, or book your first class at half price.
