Safety, seasons and cancellations

The questions people ask before they book, answered from what we actually do.

Forested hillside above Dudhsagar Falls in the dry season

Safety

Yes. We provide the life jacket, and it’s compulsory in the pool.

Shoes that grip: sandals with straps or old trainers, not flip-flops. You’ll walk about 15 minutes over wet rock, and the spray reaches the path, so bring a change of clothes.

No drones: the sanctuary doesn’t permit them. No single-use plastic past the forest checkpoint; we bring steel bottles. Bring photo ID, which the checkpoint asks for.

The jeep association checks the crossings each morning. If they say no, we turn back.

Season and monsoon

The jeep track closes for the monsoon, roughly June to September. In July the falls are a white wall of water; you can’t reach them by jeep.

October and November give you both: strong flow and an open track. By April the falls are a few silver threads.

We post the flow every Monday. If it isn’t the week, we’ll tell you.

A permit and a guide. The guide fee and permit are priced separately and shown upfront. Duration and pickup for the trek are still to be confirmed.

Cancellations and refunds

If the weather service issues a red alert for the area, or the forest department closes the track, the trip doesn’t run. If the streams are too high to cross, we turn back.

Yes, in full. Automatically, within 5 working days, or you can move to another date. You don’t have to ask.

Message us on WhatsApp. The policy for guest-side cancellations is still to be confirmed on this demo site.

Booking

A date and how many of you. We’ll reply with the flow forecast and a pickup time.

One price covers the whole day: ₹3,400 per adult, children 5–12 half price (demo prices). There’s nothing to pay at the forest gate.
