Good to Know
Tours run 9am to 1pm to avoid the afternoon heat, and most plantations are a twenty-to-forty-minute drive from Panjim or Mapusa. Book at least a day ahead in peak season — December through February fills fast.
Common Questions
Which plantations are actually in season right now?
It changes month to month — pepper is fruiting from October, cardamom from October to February, vanilla is pollinated in February. Message us the week you’re travelling and we’ll tell you which plantation matches.
Do any of the six still offer elephant rides?
Two do. We name them on the comparison page and explain why the other four dropped the practice, so you can decide for yourself before booking.
