Blocked drains

Clearing it is easy. Finding out why is the job.

Anyone can push a blockage through. If nobody looks at what caused it, you will be ringing someone again in four months.
Blocked drains

How we clear a drain

Locate the right access point

Usually an inspection opening near the boundary. Getting in at the correct point means we push the blockage the way the pipe drains, not back toward your house.

High-pressure jet rodding

5,000 psi water cuts roots and scours the pipe wall clean. An electric eel punches a hole through and leaves the rest — which is why eel-only jobs block again quickly.

CCTV inspection

Camera down the cleared line to find the cause — roots, a collapsed section, a bellied pipe holding water, or just a nappy. You get the footage and a written finding.

Fix or monitor — your call

If it’s structural we quote a repair. If it’s minor root intrusion, a jet every couple of years may be the cheaper strategy, and we’ll say so. A quoted repair is never a condition of us clearing it.
When clearing is not enough

Permanent fixes, when clearing isn’t enough

Root cutting and a barrier

Buys years, not decades, on a clay line with a live tree beside it.

Pipe relining

A new pipe formed inside the old one. No trench, no re-turfing, done in a day.

Excavation and replacement

The honest answer when the line has collapsed rather than cracked.

Why the camera comes first

It decides which of the three you actually need, and you see the same footage we do.

What it costs to find out

The camera inspection is included when we clear the drain, not billed separately.

How long it takes

Clearing and inspection in one visit. Relining is a day; excavation depends on depth.

Toilet won’t flush? Don’t keep trying.

Repeated flushing on a blocked line is how a drain problem becomes a floor problem.
