Services

One price list. It is the same one that is on the wall.

No tiers by barber, no surcharge on Saturdays, no booking fee. Cash and card both fine.

What we do

Four things, and how long each takes

Times are real. We build the diary around them so nobody is kept waiting for a chair that was always going to overrun.

A barber's hands shaping a beard with scissors and a comb

Cut and finish

Thirty minutes. Consultation, wash, cut, and a proper finish with advice on how to do it yourself. $35.

Close view of a straight razor mid-stroke during a beard line-up

Beard shape

Fifteen minutes on its own, or added to a cut. Lined with a razor and finished with balm.

A hot towel resting over a client's lower face before a shave

Hot towel shave

Forty minutes. Two hot towels, pre-shave oil, cut-throat, cold towel and balm. Book this one ahead. $45.

A young barber giving a child a first haircut on a booster seat

Under-twelves

Twenty minutes, booster board, no rush and a certificate for a first cut. Mornings are calmest.

What things cost

Same for every barber and every day we are open. Under-twelves and over-seventies are on the reduced rate all week.

Cut and finish

Thirty minutes, scissor or clipper, washed and finished. The one most people are in for.

$35

Cut and beard

The full forty-five minutes. Cut, beard shaped and lined, everything tidied at once.

$48

Hot towel shave

Forty minutes with a cut-throat. Book it ahead; we only run two a day and Marcus does all of them.

$45
Walk-in hours

Two chairs are held back all day, every day.

We keep two of the four chairs free for whoever comes through the door. Quietest is Tuesday and Wednesday before eleven; busiest is Saturday from nine, and the last hour before we shut on a Friday. If you walk in and we cannot take you, you will get an honest wait time rather than a shrug.

Open Tuesday to Friday, nine until six, late until eight on Thursdays. Saturday eight until four. Closed Sunday and Monday, which is when the training happens.

Before you come

Questions we get asked at the door

No. Two chairs are kept for walk-ins every day we are open. Booking just means you can pick your time and your barber, which matters more on a Saturday than a Wednesday morning.

Yes, and plenty do. It costs the same either way. If your barber is off and you would rather wait than switch, tell us and we will book you in for when they are back.

Nothing, but a photo of the child on a good day helps more than you would think. Mornings are calmest, we have a booster board, and nobody here minds if it goes badly. Sam is very good at these.

No. It is skilled work and it is not our trade, so we do not pretend otherwise. Ask at the desk and we will point you at two places nearby that do it properly.

Say so while you are still in the chair. We will put it right there and then, and there is no charge for that. Come back within a week and we will still sort it.

Book a time, or take your chances at the door.

Both are proper ways to use a barbershop. Neither costs more than the other.
