Four chairs · Walk-ins welcome

A haircut should last six weeks, not six days.

Cut properly, so it grows out properly. Four chairs, no music you have to shout over, and a price list on the wall that has not needed an asterisk since 1998.

The shop

You will get the haircut you asked for.

Every barber here has done at least four years on the floor. We will ask you what you want, tell you honestly whether your hair will do it, and then do it. If you do not know what you want, say so and we will work it out between us. Nobody is going to sell you anything.

What we do

Three things, done properly

No colour, no perms, no packages. If you want those, we know two good places and will tell you where.

I asked for something different and was told, politely, that my hair would not do it and here is what would. He was right. Nobody had ever just said that to me before.

Took my lad for his first cut. They had a booster board, a certificate and a lot of patience. He now asks to come.

The shave is worth booking for its own sake. Forty minutes, hot towels, and you leave feeling like you have had a small holiday.
