Rebates shown are the current Medicare Benefits Schedule amounts. You pay the full fee at the desk and the rebate goes back to your bank account, usually the same day.
Private fees
Fees are the amount charged at the desk before any rebate. The gap is what you actually pay once Medicare pays its share on the spot.
Standard consultation
MBS item 23, under 15 minutes.
Long consultation
MBS item 36, 15 to 40 minutes.
Extended consultation
MBS item 44, over 40 minutes.

Item 23 plus dermoscopy.
Minor excision
Quoted per lesion before booking.
Iron infusion
Includes nurse time and monitoring throughout.

Missed appointment
Waived the first time — the slot could have gone to someone in pain.
Once your family passes the annual Medicare Safety Net threshold, rebates rise for the rest of the calendar year. Registering your family with Medicare is not automatic. Fees last reviewed July 2026.

What happens at the desk
Paying at the desk
Card, cash or phone. We lodge your Medicare claim at the same time, so the rebate is usually in your account within a few hours.
The safety net
Once your family passes the annual Medicare Safety Net threshold, rebates rise for the rest of the calendar year. Registering your family is not automatic.
Care plans & allied health
Chronic disease management plans give five subsidised allied health visits a calendar year — physio, podiatry, dietitian.
Missed appointments
A $40 fee applies if you do not attend and have not called. Waived the first time — we only charge it when it becomes a pattern.
Same-day appointments released at 7:30am, Monday to Saturday
Ring first thing for anything that started in the last day or two. Pre-booked appointments can be made weeks ahead for everything else.
