Something changing? Spot checks held open every weekday.
FEES & REBATES

$75.80 out of pocket for a full skin check.

Every procedure is quoted in writing before it is booked, with the item numbers and the rebate. Nobody should find out what an excision costs after it has been cut out.

Fee schedule

Excision fees vary with the size of the lesion and the complexity of the repair, so the figures below are the common range. You get an exact written quote with item numbers before anything is booked.

The parts people ask about

Who we bulk bill

Pension and Health Care Card holders, and DVA Gold Card holders, for both checks and procedures. Nothing to pay at the desk.

Pathology

Anything we remove goes to a pathology lab and is bulk billed to Medicare directly — there is no separate bill for it.

The Medicare Safety Net

Multiple excisions in one year add up quickly. Once you pass the annual threshold, rebates rise substantially for the rest of the calendar year.

Why not just see my GP?

You can, and a good GP will refer on appropriately. The difference is time and equipment: a standard consult is fifteen minutes, this is thirty with a dermatoscope and a photographic archive.

Spot checks held open every weekday

If a specific spot has changed, say so when you ring and we will prioritise you. Full checks are usually available within a fortnight.
