TREATMENTS

Diagnosed, excised and closed in the same building

Our doctors hold skin cancer medicine qualifications and perform their own surgery, including flaps and grafts. You are referred to a plastic surgeon or an oncologist when the case genuinely warrants one — not because the clinic cannot do it.

Every procedure, named and priced

Every entry says who it suits and what it costs out of pocket.

Biopsy

Diagnostic

A small sample taken under local anaesthetic to establish what a lesion is before deciding how much needs to come out. Takes fifteen minutes and usually needs one or two sutures.

From
$60–$95
Typically
15 min

Excision with margins

Confirmed or suspected cancer

Complete removal with the clearance margin the diagnosis requires. Closed with sutures, dressed, and reviewed at seven to fourteen days for removal. All tissue goes to pathology.

From
$120–$220
Typically
30–45 min

Flap and graft repair

Face, ears, lower legs

Where there is not enough loose skin to close a wound directly, tissue is moved or grafted from elsewhere. Both our doctors hold surgical qualifications in skin cancer medicine and perform these here.

From
$280–$620
Typically
60–90 min

Cryotherapy

Sunspots, superficial lesions

Liquid nitrogen applied directly to solar keratoses and superficial lesions. Stings briefly, blisters, then heals over a fortnight. Included in the same appointment as your check for up to ten spots.

Typically
Same appointment

Topical field therapy

Widespread sun damage

A prescription cream, applied at home over several weeks, to treat a whole area of sun-damaged skin rather than individual spots. It is discussed and prescribed in a consultation, gets red and uncomfortable as it works, and we review you through the course.

From
Script cost only
Turnaround
3–6 weeks at home

Photodynamic therapy

Facial field damage

A light-activated cream treatment for areas of facial sun damage, done in two visits a week apart. More expensive than a cream course but faster and better tolerated cosmetically.

From
from $580
Turnaround
2 × 2-hour visits

Post-diagnosis surveillance

Anyone previously treated

Structured follow-up at three, six or twelve-month intervals depending on what you had and how many. Bulk billed here permanently after a confirmed melanoma, regardless of concession status.

From
$75.80 or bulk billed
Turnaround
20–30 min

When we refer you on

A clinic that never refers anything is a clinic operating past its competence. Roughly one case a fortnight leaves here with a specialist appointment already made.

REFERRALS

Three doors we send people through

To a plastic surgeon

Large defects on the nose, eyelid or lip where the cosmetic result genuinely warrants a specialist repair.

To a melanoma unit

Any melanoma with depth requiring sentinel node biopsy or staging. We refer to the state melanoma service and stay involved in surveillance.

To a dermatologist

Complex inflammatory skin disease, unexplained rashes, and anything that is not a skin cancer question. We are a cancer clinic, not a general dermatology practice.

Spot checks held open every weekday

If a specific spot has changed, say so when you ring and we will prioritise you. Full checks are usually available within a fortnight.
