Recent projects, and what they cost

Prices are what the client actually paid, approvals included.

Level with the kitchen, 2.4m off the ground

Steeply falling block behind a worker’s cottage. Steel frame to get the span without visible posts, spotted gum boards, frameless glass balustrade to keep the district view.

Insulated roof over a new blackbutt deck

Clients originally wanted a large open pergola. We covered two thirds with insulated panel instead and left one third open — the covered part gets used year round.

Twenty-year-old deck, rotted at the house

Cause was a blocked gutter dumping water behind the ledger for years. We fixed the gutter first, replaced the ledger and two bearers, then re-boarded and added a ventilation gap that should have been there originally.

Poolside pergola with a louvred section

Open battens over the lounge end for dappled light, motorised louvres over the dining table so it can be closed when a storm rolls through. Both on the one hardwood frame.
