Where aligners are the wrong choice
Some cases genuinely need fixed braces, and you will be told so at the consultation rather than sold aligners that cannot do the job. Severe rotations, significant bite corrections, and most cases requiring extractions do better on brackets. Aligners also need to be worn 22 hours a day — if you already know that will not happen, ceramic braces will get a better result for less money.
