Nobody tells you what year one costs before you bring them home. At our prices it runs to roughly $850 for a dog and $690 for a cat, spread across six visits. Here is the whole schedule.
Six visits, spaced out, with the cost of each stated up front.
01

Second vaccine, and a microchip if the breeder or shelter has not already done it. $155.

Last puppy vaccine. This is when they can safely start going to parks and puppy school. $90.

05

WORTH KNOWING
Three things new owners ask about
Insure them now
Almost no policy covers a pre-existing condition, and “pre-existing” starts the moment something is noted in a file. A puppy insured at eight weeks is covered for things a two-year-old dog never will be.
Puppy school matters more than you think
The socialisation window closes at around sixteen weeks. We run a class on Wednesday evenings with no charge for our own patients.
Budget roughly $850 for year one
That is a dog at our prices, including vaccinations, desexing, microchip and parasite prevention. A cat is around $690. Better to know now than in month four.
