YOUR CONSULTATION

Nothing is injected on the day you first walk in.

Forty-five minutes, $50, credited against treatment if you proceed. You leave with a written plan, a total, and seven days to think about it — that cooling-off period is our own policy, not a legal requirement, and it is the single biggest reason people trust this studio.

YOUR FORTY-FIVE MINUTES

What actually happens in the room

01

Medical history first

Medications, autoimmune conditions, previous treatment elsewhere, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Some of it rules treatment out entirely, and it is better to know now.

02

What is actually bothering you

In your own words, looking in a mirror in proper light. Often what someone points at and what is genuinely causing the effect they dislike are two different things.

03

What will and will not work

A straight assessment, including where the answer is skincare, a dermatologist, or surgery rather than anything we offer. One consultation in eight ends here, with the fee refunded.

04

Risks, specifically for you

The general risks and the ones particular to your anatomy and the areas discussed. Written down, not recited.

05

Your written plan and total

Units, millilitres, sequence, and one figure. You take it home for seven days. Nobody will ring to chase you.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Risks, said out loud

Every treatment here carries real risk. These are stated plainly at your consultation as well — this is not the only time you will hear them.

Bruising and swelling are common and settle within a week

Asymmetry happens and is corrected free at a review at two weeks

An eyelid or brow can drop for several weeks after anti-wrinkle treatment — temporary, but genuinely unpleasant while it lasts

The serious risk with dermal filler is vascular occlusion — product entering a blood vessel, which can threaten skin or vision. It is rare and it is an emergency

Hyaluronidase is kept on the premises for the management of vascular occlusion, and both nurses are trained in the protocol

The supervising doctor is contactable at all times treatment is being given

BEFORE YOU COME

Four things worth doing first

Skip alcohol for 24 hours

It thickens bruising considerably, which is the most common complaint after treatment.

Bring your medication list

Including fish oil, aspirin and anti-inflammatories, all of which increase bruising.

No makeup if you can manage it

We need to assess skin, not foundation. There is makeup remover here if it is easier.

Allow two weeks before an event

Never book treatment inside a fortnight of a wedding. Swelling and bruising need room to settle.

IF WE SAY NO

About one consultation in eight ends here

Because the request will not achieve what the person actually wants, because it is a surgical problem rather than an injectable one, or because the expectations are not achievable with any amount of product. The $50 is refunded in full when that happens.

Consultations are usually available within a week

Forty-five minutes, $50, credited against treatment if you proceed. A written plan and a total you take away, then seven days to think about it — every time, for everyone.
