A converted mill outbuilding, still a working studio.
Mulberry Lane opened in 2010 in a mill outbuilding that had sat empty for years. It still has the same brick walls and skylights, and the old machinery pits are still visible in the floor of the ceramics room. It was never dressed up to look like a studio. It already was one.
The six artists teaching here also sell their own work from the same building, which is the actual point of the place. A tutor who is still making things gives feedback a full-time instructor with no current practice generally can’t.
