What we make Staircases, windows, doors and fitted furniture. Get in touch WHAT WE OFFER In detail We are a bench shop. If it can be made in a factory, we are the wrong people. ✓ Staircases — Cut string, closed string, winders and curved. ✓ Sash windows — Traditional box sash, draught-sealed, in accoya or oak. ✓ Casement windows — Made to the opening, with genuine putty glazing if wanted. ✓ Entrance doors — Solid hardwood, with the ironmongery hung by us. ✓ Fitted wardrobes — Scribed to the room, in solid timber and veneered ply. ✓ Bookcases and studies — Designed around the books you actually own. WORTH KNOWING Why we draw everything first A drawing is cheap. Timber is not, and a staircase cut wrong is a week gone and a tree wasted. You get the drawing before you commit, and it is yours to take elsewhere if our price is not right for you. QUESTIONS Asked often The questions we are asked most often. How long does a staircase take? Eight to ten weeks from an agreed drawing. Do you fit as well as make? Yes, with our own fitters. What timber do you use? Mostly European oak, ash and accoya. Walnut on request. Can I visit the workshop? Please do. Ring first so somebody is free. Do you do small jobs? Yes, if they are joinery. We do not do general carpentry. Is there a guarantee? Ten years on our joinery, and we honour it. TALK TO THE WORKSHOP Discuss a project Send a photograph and a rough size and we will tell you if it is something we should be making. Discuss a project
