Maeve Callister writes novels about the small, cold-water towns where the industry has mostly left and the people mostly haven’t. She is the author of four novels — Tidewrack, The Keeper’s Daughters, Low Water and The Salt House — and has appeared on festival panels about place and memory (fictional), and been shortlisted for a regional literary prize (fictional). She also runs Writing the Coast, a craft workshop on landscape and place for festivals and writers’ centres. She lives on Tasmania’s east coast.
