Dario Fennimore, home cook and dad. Demo portrait.
About Dario
Three kids, one job, and zero patience for fifteen-ingredient recipes.
I was tired of cookbooks that assumed I had all night. Dinner needs to happen at 6pm, and three small, opinionated people have to eat it.

How it started
I bought every trendy cookbook and cooked from none of them.
Too many ingredients, too many steps, and dinner still needed to happen at 6pm regardless.
So I started building my own recipe box: thirty minutes or less, one pan when I can manage it, and nothing my kids won’t eat. A few notes on the fridge became a folder, and the folder became this site.
Today the box holds more than five hundred tested recipes. I did not set out to write that many.
I just kept cooking dinner, and kept writing down what worked.

How a recipe gets here
If it survives dinner at my table, it goes up.
1
Start with a real night
The idea comes from an actual weeknight, not a trend.
2
Cook it for my crew
My own picky three get it first, with no warning.
3
Trim what it does not need
Fewer steps, fewer ingredients, less washing up.
4
Publish if it survives
If dinner goes well, it goes up. If not, back to step one.
The test
Every recipe gets tested on my own picky crew first.
Nothing here is published because it photographs well.
