Independent brewery — Ironworks Yard

Brewed here. Poured here. Fresh by definition.

Ironbark is a twelve-hectolitre brewery with the taproom bolted straight onto the brewhouse — five core beers always on, a new small batch every month, and nothing on the bar that travelled further than forty feet. We serve responsibly; over-18s only at the bar.

Why we brew

Beer is better forty feet from the tank.

Most beer spends weeks in trucks and warehouses before anyone tastes it. Ours goes from the conditioning tank to the taps in the next room, and into cans we fill on site the same week you drink them.

That freshness isn’t a slogan — it’s the whole business model. Small batches, sold close, brewed again.

Three ways in

Taproom, tours and takeaway.

However you like your beer served, it starts at Ironworks Yard.

The taproom

Eight taps, Thursday to Sunday — the five regulars, the monthly small batch, and a couple of guests we rate. Dogs welcome, kids till eight.

The tours

Saturdays at 2pm — an hour in the brewhouse with whoever brewed that week, finishing with a tasting flight at the bar.

Fresh cans

Canned on site in small runs, dated on the bottom, and sold from the cold store — take the taproom home with you.

From the yard

What the regulars say.

★★★★★
“The porter alone is worth the trip, but it's the place — you're drinking next to the tank it came out of.”

Dana W., NORTHGATE

Taproom regular since 2019

★★★★★
“Did the Saturday tour for a birthday. The brewer talked us through the mash like we were family, then poured like it too.”

Omar H., SALISBURY

Came for a tour, stayed for the IPA

★★★★★
“I check the small-batch board before I check anything else. Every month there's a reason to come back.”
