The beers

Five regulars. One monthly stranger.

The core five hold the bar down all year; the small-batch board changes every month and never comes back. Here are the three everyone asks about.

The flagships

Three beers that built the taproom.

Ask for a flight and you’ll meet all three in one sitting.

Ironbark Pale — 5.0%

The first beer we ever brewed and still the biggest tank. Citrus up front, biscuit underneath, and the one we hand to people who say they don’t like craft beer.

Smokebox Porter — 5.8%

Dark, quiet and slightly smoked, like the chain-makers’ shed it’s brewed in. Spends a corner of every winter in the barrel store.

Ropewalk IPA — 6.2%

The loud one. Double dry-hopped, unapologetically bitter, and the reason the Thursday crowd exists.

Beer questions

The ones the bar gets weekly.

Yes — the cold store sells everything currently on tap, canned on site and dated on the bottom. If a beer’s board says ‘tank only’, it ran too fresh to can that week.

Yardhouse Lager (4.6%) is the six-week slow one, and Little Anvil (3.5%) is the table beer for long afternoons. Both are always on — they just let the flagships do the talking.

Every beer’s ABV is on the board and the allergen sheet lives at the bar — malt, wheat and oats vary by recipe, so ask before you order and we’ll walk you through it.

Taste them where they're made.

Every beer on this page is forty feet from its tank, Thursday to Sunday. The monthly small batch is whatever the board says it is.
