Ferrow & Sons

A traditional barbershop, three chairs, no appointment needed most days. Cuts, beard trims and a proper hot towel shave.

Ferrow Sons Barbershop story
THE FAMILY

Grandfather Ferrow, and two more since.

The barbershop opened under Ferrow’s name in 1961, and the same family has run the three chairs ever since. His son took over in the eighties; his grandson runs it now, alongside two barbers who trained in the shop and never left.

That kind of continuity is why we still mostly don’t take bookings. A shop with three generations of regulars works better as somewhere people drop in and wait their turn than as a diary full of fifteen-minute slots.

WHAT WE DO

Three things, the old way.

Walk in, take a seat, and we will call you when your chair is ready.

Haircuts

Classic and modern cuts, for any age, no appointment usually needed.

Beard trims and hot towel shaves

The full traditional shave, with a hot towel and a straight razor.

Kids' cuts

Patient with the wriggly ones — a lot of our chairs are second-generation customers.

“Same barbershop my dad went to, and now my son does too. Nothing about it has got worse in thirty years.”
