The price on the frame is the price with lenses in it
No base price that doubles at the counter. Three tiers, standard single-vision lenses included in all of them, and every surcharge printed on a card you can read before you order.
Lenses in. Nothing added at the counter.
Standard single-vision lenses are already in every price below. Multifocal, high-index, transitions and polarised lenses cost more, and the surcharge is printed on a card at the dispensing desk before you order.

Four ways the price comes down
Health fund extras
HICAPS at the dispensing desk. Most optical extras limits sit between $150 and $400 a year and reset on 1 January.
Children’s glasses
Under-16 frames are $79 including lenses, and we replace them once free inside twelve months if they get broken.
Second pair, half price
Any second pair from the same tier is 50% off, ordered at the same time — most people use it for prescription sunglasses.
Thirty-day adjustment
Bring them back within thirty days if something is not right. We re-check the prescription and remake the lenses, or refund the frame.
Bulk-billed eye tests, most weeks inside three days
Open seven days with the centre. Ring and we will usually offer you something inside three days.
