WHAT WE WORK ON

Medical nutrition, not wellness

Most of our caseload is referred by GPs and specialists. If what you need is not on this list, say so on the phone and we will tell you honestly whether it is a dietitian’s job.

Twelve conditions, three groups

If yours is not on the list it is still worth ringing — most of what walks through the door is some version of one of these.

NOT SURE

Where we’d send you instead

Some things that look like a nutrition problem are not, and some need a team rather than one dietitian.

To a GP first. Unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, blood in the stool or swallowing difficulty need investigation, not a diet.

To an eating disorder team. Active anorexia, bulimia or binge eating disorder needs a psychologist, a GP and a dietitian working together. A dietitian alone is not adequate care.

To an allergy specialist. Suspected true food allergy needs a clinical immunologist and proper testing — not an intolerance panel and not an elimination diet run on guesswork.

First appointment usually inside a fortnight

Telehealth available statewide at the same fee. Tell us what the referral is for when you ring and we will book you with whichever of us is the better fit.
