From drawn to dug to done.
Take all three services in sequence, or just the one you’re missing — plenty of clients bring us someone else’s design to build, or a finished garden to keep.
What each service involves.
The honest version, timescales included.
Garden design
It starts with an hour walking your plot — sun, soil, sightlines, and how you actually live. Two weeks later you get a concept plan and a planting palette; one revision round is included, because the first draft is a conversation, not a verdict.
Landscaping & build
Our two crews build what was drawn — hard landscaping first, then soil, then plants, in one continuous run. Retaining walls, decks, pergolas and paving are QBCC-licensed structural work, with our licence number on every quote; garden design and planting are not licensed trades. A typical garden takes two to four weeks on site, and you’ll know which before we start.
Maintenance rounds
The same pair visit fortnightly or monthly with the planting plan on the van’s tablet — pruning to the design, feeding to the season, and flagging anything struggling before it’s a gap.
Four rules we plant by.
On every drawing, in every quote.
Design first
Nothing gets built that wasn’t drawn, priced and agreed on paper.
Our own crews
Employed, trained, and the same faces from first dig to handover.
Right plant, right place
Soil-tested, sun-mapped planting — guaranteed for a full season.
Built for year three
We plant for how it looks when it’s grown in, not just on handover day.
Asked on most first visits.
Honest range: most full design-and-builds land between the cost of a decent kitchen and a small extension, depending on size and stonework. The design visit gives you a real number before you commit to anything.
Design in autumn and winter, build in late winter and spring, and the garden is working by summer. But crews build year-round — the only truly bad month to start is the one after you wanted it finished.
Almost always — mature trees, good stone and established hedges are assets, and the design keeps what earns its place. Wholesale clearance is the exception, not the sales pitch.

The design visit is an hour of looking, listening and honest numbers, on your own block.
