Common questions
How much does air conditioning cost in Brisbane?
A back-to-back split system in a bedroom starts around $1,690 supplied and installed. A typical 5-zone ducted system in a four-bedroom home lands between $13,200 and $16,000. The variables are the kilowatts you need, how far the pipework has to run, and whether your switchboard can carry another circuit. We put all of it in the written quote.
How long does an install take?
One split system is usually a half day. Multi-head systems take a full day. Ducted is normally two days on site, occasionally three if the roof space is tight or we’re working around a renovation.
Do I need council or body corporate approval?
Houses almost never need council approval for a standard install. Units and townhouses usually need body corporate sign-off for the outdoor unit location and any noise-affecting position — we’ll give you the specs and a site sketch to submit.
What size unit do I actually need?
It depends on room volume, which way the windows face, glazing, insulation and ceiling height — not just floor area. As a rough guide a 3x3m Brisbane bedroom wants about 2.5kW and an open-plan living area 7–9kW. We calculate it properly before quoting, because oversizing means the unit short-cycles and never pulls the humidity out.
Why does my unit smell musty?
Mould in the indoor coil and barrel fan — very common in Brisbane’s humidity, especially if the system has never had more than a filter clean. A proper deep clean and anti-microbial treatment fixes it. If it comes back within months, the drain or the run-on setting usually needs attention.
Can you fix a unit you didn't install?
Yes, that’s a good chunk of our repair work. We carry common parts and we’re authorised to work on all the major brands. If it’s still under manufacturer warranty we’ll tell you so you don’t pay for something the brand should cover.
What warranty do I get?
Five years on our workmanship, plus the manufacturer’s warranty on the equipment — usually five to seven years on parts for the brands we install. We register it for you and email the paperwork on handover.
Do you do emergency call-outs?
Same-day across Brisbane Monday to Saturday, subject to how the run is looking. Ring rather than email — the phone gets you into the schedule faster. After-hours is the same number and there’s a surcharge we’ll tell you about before we dispatch.
