What You Can See in an Hour, and What Takes Three

Two self-guided routes and one guided tour on weekends — the ramparts walk takes forty minutes, the museum wing closer to ninety with the audio panels.

Two Ways Through the Fort

The Self-Guided Rampart Walk

Follow the eastern wall from the sea gate to the old powder store, about six hundred metres, with information panels every fifty metres or so.

The Guided Museum Tour

Forty-five minutes with a guide through the restoration wing, run at 10am, noon and 4pm daily except Mondays, when the fort is closed for maintenance.
