Priya Raman writes historical fiction about the people the Victorian goldfields left out of the record — the wives, housekeepers and daughters recorded, if at all, in someone else’s ledger. She is the author of Ballarat Rain, A Ledger of Small Fortunes, Letters from the Diggings and The Assayer’s Wife, and speaks regularly to libraries, schools and local history societies.
