I spent ten years telling owners to "just be more consistent." It was never that.

Heelwork is the membership I built after that. Force-free, step-by-step training for pulling, recall and reactivity — run by a qualified behaviourist, not a forum thread.

You have not been inconsistent. You have been given the wrong instructions.

Almost everyone arrives here having already tried hard, for months, with advice that was never going to work on their particular dog.

The walk is a workout

Forty minutes braced against a harness, and you have started choosing quieter routes to avoid it.

Recall works in the garden only

Perfect at home, gone the moment there is a squirrel — so the lead never actually comes off.

Every other dog is an event

You spot them first now. You cross the road first. That is exhausting, and it is not training.

Six modules. One calmer dog.

01

Loose-Lead Walking

Stop the pulling without a shouting match or a piece of kit that hurts to use.

02

Reliable Recall

A dog that comes back around real distraction, not just in an empty garden.

03

Confidence & Reactivity

Calmer on the lead around other dogs, joggers and the postman.

04

Force-Free Foundations

The mechanics behind mark-and-reward, so you know why it works, not just that it does.

05

Real-World Practice

Structured exercises for the café, the high street and the school run — where training actually gets tested.

06

Live Monthly Clinics

A video call with a qualified behaviourist every month, to troubleshoot your dog specifically.

Who is actually teaching this

Two people, both accredited, both still working with dogs every week. The live clinics are run by one or other of them — never by a moderator.

Erin Vaughan

Erin Vaughan

runs the core curriculum. Fifteen years in force-free training, ABTC-registered, and the person who rewrote the loose-lead module after admitting the first version only worked on dogs that were already fairly calm.

Sam Okafor

Sam Okafor

takes the reactivity work and the monthly clinics. Clinical animal behaviourist, referral-side for eight years, which is why the reactivity module knows where its own limits are.

Priority place in the live clinics

Thirty days. If the walk is not different, we refund you.

Work the loose-lead module for a month. If your own walk has not measurably changed, email us and we refund the lot — no form, no exit call, and you keep everything you have downloaded. We would rather you left than stayed subscribed to something that was not working.

THIS MONTH’S CLINIC

Two places left in the February clinic

The live clinic is capped at twelve so every dog actually gets looked at. Coaching members are seated first; the rest of the places go in join order, and when they are gone the next clinic is in March.

FAQ

Before you join

No shock, prong or choke tools, and nothing that relies on fear or pain to get a result. Everything is built on rewarding the behaviour you want to see more of.

No. The method works with whatever harness, collar or lead your dog already wears — we’ll tell you if something is working against you.

Yes, the reactivity module is built for real reactivity. If your dog has a bite history or a serious aggression case, we will point you toward one-to-one support alongside the membership.

A structured order, a qualified behaviourist checking your work in the live clinics, and a community that has usually already solved the exact thing you are stuck on.

Yes. No contract and no minimum term — cancel from your account whenever you like.
