Residential interior design ยท Paddington & Rosalie, Brisbane

We charge a fixed fee and pass the trade discount to you.

Whole-house design and renovation management. The design fee is agreed before we start, and every trade discount we get on furniture and materials goes to you rather than to us.

Why that matters

Most designers are paid twice and only tell you about it once.

There is a fee, and then there is the margin taken on everything specified — often a sizeable percentage, quietly built into the price of the sofa, the tiles, the joinery. We charge one fixed design fee, agreed before we start, and every trade discount is passed through to you at cost and shown on the invoice.

What we do

Three ways to work with us

From one difficult room to a house stripped back to brick.

A hand holding a fan of plain paint colour squares

Design only

Full scheme, drawings, specification and a shopping list you can execute yourself or hand to your own builder.

Design and management

We design it and then run it: trades, deliveries, snagging and the hundred decisions that come up on site.

A single finished study nook solved end to end

One room, one day

A day in your house solving a single room, with a written scheme afterwards. The most useful thing we sell.

★★★★★

The itemised list showed us the trade price and the retail price side by side. We saved more on the furniture than the design fee cost, which I still find slightly astonishing.

We had been arguing about the same room for two years. One day, one scheme, argument over. I wish we had done it at the start.

Running the trades was worth every dollar. Somebody else took the delivery calls and chased the joiner while we carried on with our jobs.

Start with one room. Most people do.
