Most of what I see isn&rsquo;t crisis. It&rsquo;s ordinary worry that has been building quietly for a long time, in kids who are otherwise doing fine.<\/p><p>The work now sits in three places. I write &mdash; books for parents and teenagers, in plain language, without the jargon. I speak, mostly in schools, to rooms of parents and staff who are already trying hard and just want something that actually helps. And I still see families, a few each week, because I don&rsquo;t want to lose the thing that makes the writing and the speaking honest.<\/p><p>I&rsquo;m not interested in telling anyone their teenager is broken, because I don&rsquo;t think that&rsquo;s true. What I offer is more modest: language for what&rsquo;s happening, and some ordinary, doable things that make it smaller.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div data-bps-id=\"about-01-subheadline-2\" data-bps-type=\"subheadline\" class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-51fa3c0d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"51fa3c0d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>I&rsquo;m not a motivational speaker, and I don&rsquo;t promise a fix by Friday. What I offer is a way to understand what&rsquo;s going on, and a handful of practices that hold up on an ordinary Tuesday.<\/p><p>Outside clinic hours, most of my reading pile is whatever&rsquo;s currently big with actual teenagers &mdash;
